Schott is an academic translator and editor.<\/p>\n<p>With <a class=\"x-el x-el-a c1-2i c1-2j c1-69 c1-2l c1-27 c1-2m c1-2n c1-6a c1-b c1-6b c1-2t c1-6c c1-6d\" href=\"https:\/\/sydney.edu.au\/arts\/government_international_relations\/staff\/profiles\/alex.lefebvre.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alexandre Lefebvre<\/a>, he is the co-editor of three books: Henri Bergson&#8217;s lectures on Freedom at the Coll\u00e8ge de France (Bloomsbury, 2024\u2014read the interview with <em>The Philosopher <\/em><a title=\"Freedom Regained at The Philosopher\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thephilosopher1923.org\/post\/freedom-regained\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>); a collection of essays, <a class=\"x-el x-el-a c1-2i c1-2j c1-69 c1-2l c1-27 c1-2m c1-2n c1-6a c1-b c1-6b c1-2t c1-6c c1-6d\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridge.org\/9781108421157\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em class=\"x-el x-el-span c1-2i c1-2j c1-64 c1-4k c1-2t c1-66 c1-67 c1-b\">Interpreting Bergson: Critical Essays<\/em><\/a>, which was published by Cambridge UP in December 2019 and is now available in paperback; and a translation of Vladimir Jank\u00e9l\u00e9vitch&#8217;s <a class=\"x-el x-el-a c1-2i c1-2j c1-69 c1-2l c1-27 c1-2m c1-2n c1-6a c1-b c1-6b c1-2t c1-6c c1-6d\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dukeupress.edu\/henri-bergson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em class=\"x-el x-el-span c1-2i c1-2j c1-64 c1-4k c1-2t c1-66 c1-67 c1-b\">Henri Bergson<\/em><\/a> (Duke UP, 2015). With <a class=\"x-el x-el-a c1-2i c1-2j c1-69 c1-2l c1-27 c1-2m c1-2n c1-6a c1-b c1-6b c1-2t c1-6c c1-6d\" href=\"https:\/\/as.nyu.edu\/faculty\/hent-de-vries.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hent de Vries<\/a>, he edited <a class=\"x-el x-el-a c1-2i c1-2j c1-69 c1-2l c1-27 c1-2m c1-2n c1-6a c1-b c1-6b c1-2t c1-6c c1-6d\" href=\"https:\/\/cup.columbia.edu\/book\/love-and-forgiveness-for-a-more-just-world\/9780231170222\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em class=\"x-el x-el-span c1-2i c1-2j c1-64 c1-4k c1-2t c1-66 c1-67 c1-b\">Love and Forgiveness for a More Just World<\/em><\/a> (Columbia UP, 2015).<\/p>\n<p>Nils is also a widely published translator of academic literature, including some twenty books. The most recent volumes are\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.routledge.com\/The-Share-of-Perspective\/Alloa\/p\/book\/9781032739182\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Share of Perspective<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>by Emmanuel Alloa (Routledge, 2024);\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.routledge.com\/Voluntary-Servitude-Masochism-and-Morality\/Samardzic-LeSoldat-Tsolas-Civin\/p\/book\/9781032666259\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Voluntary Servitude: Masochism and Morality<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>(Routledge, 2025); and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dukeupress.edu\/horn-or-the-counterside-of-media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Horn, or the Other Side of Media<\/a> <\/em>by Henning Schmidgen (Duke UP, 2022).<br \/>Several other translations have been completed and are on their way to publication.<\/p>\n<p>Nils holds degrees from The American University of Paris (BA) and The Johns Hopkins University (MA, PhD).
